Pequot Lakes Patriots (Pequot Lakes, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN), 63-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pequot Lakes upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Esko (Esko, MN) to play the Eskomos in a AA Section 7 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Eskomos come into the bout with a record of 14-2. Esko won 73-54 in their recent non-league bout against South Ridge (Culver, MN)

Next up, the Gobblers play the Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) in a AA Section 7 bout, on Thursday, February 9. Aitkin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record.
