Texas High School Basketball - Aledo crushes Azle

Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 81-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Aledo upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX) to clash with the Bears in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 25-3. Brewer won 57-32 in their recent league bout against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Monday, February 6. Azle will attempt to upgrade on its 14-15 season record. The Rough Riders go into the bout with a 11-15 record after their 60-51 league loss to Granbury (Granbury, TX).
