Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alleluia Community (Augusta, GA), 91-76 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Briarwood Academy upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Buccaneers host Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Piedmont Academy lost 54-47 in their recent league bout against Gatewood (Eatonton, GA)

Next up, the play the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Alleluia Community will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 51-31 league loss to Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA).
