Alliance Aviators (Alliance, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Alliance upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Aviators host East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH) to play the Potters in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Potters come into the bout with a record of 12-5. East Liverpool lost 71-57 in their recent league bout against Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH)

Next up, the Dukes play the East Dragons (Akron, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Marlington will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 72-60 league loss to Buchtel (Akron, OH).
