Virginia High School Basketball - Southampton trounces Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech

February 3, 2023: Petersburg, VA 23803

The Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) basketball crushed the host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons (Petersburg, VA), 67-38 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (3-17) will now prepare for their test against Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 17-4 record. In their last test, Brunswick walloped Surry County (Dendron, VA), 65-30, in a league test.

The Dragons now own a 0-23 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin for a Tri-Rivers test on Tuesday, February 7. Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 75-46 league win over Sussex Central (Sussex, VA). The Broncos record now stands at 20-2.
