The Rootstown Rovers basketball team (Rootstown, OH), was overwhelmed 79-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Aquinas Knights (Louisville, OH)
The Knights now possess a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host John F. Kennedy Catholic for a Portage Trail battle on Friday, February 10.
The Rovers (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against Cardinal (Middlefield, OH). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Cardinal trounced Crestwood (Mantua, OH), 57-48, in a league battle.
