Hancock Owls (Hancock, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ashby Arrows (Ashby, MN), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hancock upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Parkers Prairie (Parkers Prairie, MN) to play the Panthers in a A Section 6 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Parkers Prairie lost 63-58 in their recent league bout against Underwood (Underwood, MN)

Next up, the Arrows play the Battle Lake Battlers (Battle Lake, MN) in a A Section 6 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Ashby will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
