Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR), 59-46 in a league bout.
With the victory, Astoria upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Fishermen host Seaside (Seaside, OR) to play the Seagulls in a 4A Cowapa bout on Saturday, February 4. The Seagulls come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Seaside won 58-49 in their recent league bout against Tillamook (Tillamook, OR)
Next up, the Lions play the Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR) in a 4A Cowapa bout, on Tuesday, February 7. St. Helens will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Seagulls come into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 60-55 league loss to Astoria (Astoria, OR).
