The Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) basketball nipped the visiting West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), 61-59 in Friday's league test.

The Tomcats (12-12) will now prepare for their test against Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Rams go into the Upstate Eight test with a 7-20 record. In their last test, Glenbard East was tipped by Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL), 63-39, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 5-20 record. They play next when they host St. Edward for a non-league test on Saturday, February 4. West Chicago will encounter a Green Wave squad coming off a 63-46 league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL). The Green Wave record now stands at 17-10.
