The Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers (Waterford, MI) basketball nipped the host Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI), 42-41 in Friday's league test.

The Lakers (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Universal Academy (Detroit, MI). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-6 record.

The Crusaders now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit for a Catholic Intersectional II test on Tuesday, February 7. Austin Catholic will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 71-54 league loss to Cabrini (Allen Park, MI). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-9.
