The Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN) basketball nipped the host South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN), 65-63 in Friday's league test.
The Roadrunners (18-7) will now prepare for their test against West (Knoxville, TN). The Rebels go into the non-league test with a 16-7 record. In their last test, West was tipped by Karns (Knoxville, TN), 97-89, in a league test.
The Cherokees now own a 11-12 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson County for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. South-Doyle will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 72-57 non-league loss to Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 11-13.
