In Friday's league match, the visiting Avery County Vikings basketball team scored a good 61-44 triumph over the Owen Warhorses.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 match, on Tuesday, February 7. Avery County will attempt to move on its 14-8 season record.
