Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL), 48-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Batavia upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to St. Catherine's (Racine, WI) to confront the Angels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Angels come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. St. Catherine's won 62-44 in their recent league challenge against St. Thomas More (Milwaukee, WI)

Next up, the Vikings confront the St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL) in a DuKane challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Geneva will attempt to improve on its 22-5 season record. The Fighting Saints come into the challenge with a 11-15 record after their 69-62 league loss to St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL).
