The Methuen Rangers basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Billerica Memorial Indians to 57 in the Rangers league triumph on Friday.

The Rangers now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dracut for a Merrimack Valley - Small contest on Tuesday, February 7. Methuen will battle a Middies team coming off a 78-48 league loss to Chelmsford (North Chelmsford, MA). The Middies record now stands at 0-15.

The Indians (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Haverhill (Haverhill, MA). The Hillies enter the Merrimack Valley - Small contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Haverhill was nudged by St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA), 70-62, in a non-league contest.
