Kellogg Panthers (Delton, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Black River Rats (Holland, MI), 61-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kellogg upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Panthers host Maple Valley (Vermontville, MI) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Rats clash with the Lawrence Tigers (Lawrence, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Black River will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 58-57 league win over Comstock (Kalamazoo, MI).
