Texas High School Basketball - Littlefield can't hold off Brownfield

The Brownfield Cubs basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Littlefield Wildcats to 38 in the Cubs league triumph on Friday.
The Cubs now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muleshoe for a 3A Region I District 3 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Brownfield will battle a Mules team coming off a 41-30 league loss to Denver City (Denver City, TX). The Mules record now stands at 6-10.
The Wildcats (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Bobcats enter the 3A Region I District 3 contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Dimmitt nudged Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 56-52, in a league contest.
