Illinois High School Basketball - Brownstown/St. Elmo knocked off by Farina South Central

The Farina South Central Cougars basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles to 31 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Webber for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Farina South Central will battle a Trojans team coming off a 67-61 non-league win over Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 15-9.
The Eagles (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Toledo, IL). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 13-12 record. In their last contest, Cumberland ran past Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL), 50-32, in a league contest.
