Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans (Burnt Hills, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Guilderland Flying Dutchman (Guilderland Center, NY), 61-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY) to play the Blue Streaks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Blue Streaks come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Saratoga Springs won 61-52 in their recent league bout against Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY)

Next up, the Flying Dutchman play the Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Guilderland will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 61-45 non-league loss to Bethlehem Central (Delmar, NY).
