Calvert Trojans (Calvert, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Zulch Bulldogs (North Zulch, TX), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Calvert upgrades its record to 13-15 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Dime Box (Dime Box, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Richards Panthers (Richards, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. North Zulch will attempt to upgrade on its 18-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 61-48 league loss to Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX).
