The Oak Ridge War Eagles basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Caney Creek Panthers to 41 in the War Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The War Eagles now have a 6-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Willis for a 6A Region II District 13 game on Tuesday, February 7. Oak Ridge will face a Wildkats team coming off a 72-50 league loss to The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Wildkats record now stands at 14-18.

With the defeat, Caney Creek moves to 4-23 on the year. The Panthers travel to New Caney (New Caney, TX) to face the Eagles in a 6A Region II District 13 game on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 11-20. New Caney lost 73-41 in their recent league game against College Park (The Woodlands, TX)
