The Destrehan Wildcats basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Central Lafourche Trojans to 47 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to White Castle for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Destrehan will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 76-29 league win over St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-9.

The Trojans (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against East St. John (Reserve, LA). The Wildcats come into the 5A District 7 contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, East St. John was nudged by Port Allen (Port Allen, LA), 71-66, in a non-league contest.
