The Mays Raiders basketball team (Atlanta, GA), was nudged 57-53 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA)
The Panthers now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lithia Springs for a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Saturday, February 4. Chapel Hill will battle a Lions team coming off a 71-39 league win over Banneker (College Park, GA). The Lions record now stands at 6-17.
The Raiders (15-7) will now prepare for their battle against Midtown (Atlanta, GA). The Knights come into the AAAAA Region 5 battle with a 7-15 record. In their last battle, Midtown was nudged by Tri-Cities (East Point, GA), 80-46, in a league battle.
