The Maxwell Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting CORE Butte Lynx to 45 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Biggs for a Mid-Valley contest on Wednesday, February 8.

The Lynx (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Williams (Williams, CA). The Yellowjackets enter the Mid-Valley contest with a 17-6 record. In their last contest, Williams triumphed over Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA), 61-43, in a league contest.
