The Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) basketball crushed the visiting Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR), 72-37 in Friday's league test.
The Comets (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Ashland (Ashland, OR). The Grizzlies go into the 5A Midwestern test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Ashland walloped Thurston (Springfield, OR), 54-39, in a league test.
The Millers now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host North Eugene for a 5A Midwestern test on Tuesday, February 7. Springfield will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 72-46 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Highlanders record now stands at 11-7.
