The Cuero Gobblers basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting John F. Kennedy Rockets to 32 in the Gobblers league victory on Friday.

The Gobblers now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gonzales for a 4A Region IV District 28 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Cuero will battle a Apaches team coming off a 64-45 league win over San Antonio Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Apaches record now stands at 11-15.

The Rockets (17-15) will now prepare for their contest against La Vernia (La Vernia, TX). The Bears come into the 4A Region IV District 28 contest with a 24-8 record. In their last contest, La Vernia triumphed over Young Men's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX), 57-54, in a league contest.
