David Emanuel Academy Eagles (Stillmore, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA), 52-47 in a league bout.

With the win, David Emanuel Academy upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Eagles host Monsignor Donovan Catholic (Athens, GA) to play the Rams in a GIAA A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Monsignor Donovan Catholic lost 82-59 in their recent non-league bout against Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Thomas Jefferson Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 86-71 non-league win over Alleluia Community (Augusta, GA).
