North Carolina High School Basketball - Shelby tipped by East Gaston

The East Gaston Warriors basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Shelby Golden Lions to 61 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burns for a 1A/2A Conference 40 contest on Tuesday, February 7. East Gaston will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-59 league loss to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-9.

The Golden Lions (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons enter the 1A/2A Conference 40 contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, Thomas Jefferson nudged Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 49-23, in a league contest.
