Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Edina Hornets (Edina, MN), 80-69 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hopkins upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Totino-Grace won 96-45 in their recent non-league bout against Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN)

Next up, the Hornets play the Woodbury Royals (Woodbury, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Edina will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Royals come into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 57-53 league win over North (North St. Paul, MN).
