Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA), 53-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Edison upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Eagles host Hayfield (Alexandria, VA) to clash with the Hawks in a District 3 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 19-1. Hayfield won 84-54 in their recent league bout against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA)

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Falls Church Jaguars (Falls Church, VA) in a District 3 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Lewis will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 57-48 league win over Justice (Falls Church, VA).
