Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 72-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Fluvanna County upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Flying Flucos travel to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to play the Warriors in a Jefferson bout on Monday, February 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Western Albemarle won 56-39 in their recent non-league bout against Fleming (Roanoke, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Monday, February 6. Louisa County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 68-62 league win over Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA).
