With the victory, Lamar Consolidated upgrades its record to 9-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 16-14. Fort Bend Kempner lost 51-50 in their recent league challenge against Fulshear (Fulshear, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos (Missouri City, TX) in a 5A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Fort Bend Willowridge will attempt to upgrade on its 9-21 season record. The Buffalos come into the challenge with a 28-3 record after their 86-46 league win over Randle (Richmond, TX).
