Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) and the host Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC), saw Franklin Academy's basketball squad wallop Research Triangle by a count of 70-42.
With the victory, Franklin Academy upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Patriots host Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC) to play the Firebirds in a 1A/2A Conference 12 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a record of 10-13. Falls Lake won 64-49 in their recent league challenge against Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC)
Next up, the Raptors play the East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 12 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Research Triangle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-18 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 72-58 league win over NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC).
