Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 66-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Galesburg upgrades its record to 8-21 on the season. The Silver Streaks travel to Alleman (Rock Island, IL) to clash with the Pioneers in a Western Big 6 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 6-20. Alleman lost 74-35 in their recent league bout against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL)

Next up, the Maple Leafs clash with the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Geneseo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-22 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 10-16 record after their 63-59 league loss to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL).
