StoneBridge Cavaliers (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gateway Christian (Virginia Beach, VA), 42-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, StoneBridge upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Denbigh Baptist Christian (Newport News, VA) to play the Minutemen in a VISAA Division IV bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Minutemen come into the bout with a record of 8-10. Denbigh Baptist Christian lost 51-40 in their recent league bout against Portsmouth Christian (Portsmouth, VA)

Next up, the play the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA) in a Tidewater Independent bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Gateway Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Gators come into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 43-41 league loss to Broadwater Academy (Exmore, VA).
