Life Waxahachie Mustangs (Waxahachie, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX), 47-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Life Waxahachie upgrades its record to 27-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region II District 10 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 16-12. Hillsboro lost 47-37 in their recent league bout against Alvarado (Alvarado, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Godley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-22 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 26-4 record after their 63-49 league loss to Kennedale (Kennedale, TX).
