Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX), 67-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Hardin-Jefferson upgrades its record to 25-5 on the season. The Hawks host Livingston (Livingston, TX) to play the Lions in a 4A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 10-19. Livingston lost 62-46 in their recent league bout against Hargrave (Huffman, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 11-19 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 26-6 record after their 61-41 league win over Splendora (Splendora, TX).
