High Point Academy Grizzlies (Spartanburg, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the win, High Point Academy upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Grizzlies host Brashier Middle College Charter (Simpsonville, SC) to play the Bengal in a A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bengal go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Brashier Middle College Charter won 77-71 in their recent non-league bout against Woodruff (Woodruff, SC)

Next up, the Sabres play the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights (Greenville, SC) in a A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Southside Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 50-37 league loss to Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC).
