Holton Wildcats (Holton, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS), 50-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Holton upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Jefferson West (Meriden, KS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Jefferson West won 56-54 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS)

Next up, the Thunder play the Sabetha Bluejays (Sabetha, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Nemaha Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 15-0 record after their 70-45 non-league win over Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS).
