Texas High School Basketball - Irving can't hold off MacArthur

The MacArthur Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Irving Tigers to 41 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 8-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Highlands for a 6A Region I District 7 contest on Saturday, February 4. MacArthur will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 55-46 league win over Richardson (Richardson, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 23-3.

The Tigers (9-18) will now prepare for their contest against Nimitz (Irving, TX). The Vikings come into the 6A Region I District 7 contest with a 9-15 record. In their last contest, Nimitz was nudged by Highland Park (Dallas, TX), 75-40, in a league contest.
