The Madison East Purgolders basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Janesville Parker Vikings to 58 in the Purgolders league triumph on Friday.

The Purgolders now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dubuque Senior for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Madison East will meet a Rams team coming off a 70-18 league win over Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Rams record now stands at 15-3.

The Vikings (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Middleton (Middleton, WI). The Cardinals enter the Big Eight contest with a 17-1 record. In their last contest, Middleton was nudged by Madison La Follette (Madison, WI), 75-72, in a league contest.
