The Kennedy Cougars basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Jefferson Hawks to 44 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 16-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Iowa City West for a Mississippi Valley contest on Tuesday, February 7. Kennedy will battle a Trojans team coming off a 72-57 league win over Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-7.

The Hawks (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty (North Liberty, IA). The Lightning enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Liberty was routed by Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA), 72-57, in a league contest.
