Fans at Friday's league challenge between the St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA) and the host Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), saw St. Martinville's basketball squad wallop Kaplan by a tally of 92-26.
With the victory, St. Martinville improves its record to 18-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Abbeville (Abbeville, LA) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Abbeville lost 64-28 in their recent league challenge against Erath (Erath, LA)
Next up, the Pirates confront the North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Kaplan will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 49-45 league win over Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
