Wickliffe Blue Devils (Wickliffe, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH), 62-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wickliffe upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Berkshire (Burton, OH) to play the Badgers in a Chagrin Valley - Valley bout on Friday, February 10. The Badgers come into the bout with a record of 7-10.

Next up, the Hornets play the Lutheran West Longhorns (Rocky River, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Kirtland will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 65-52 league win over Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH).
