Knox City Greyhounds (Knox City, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Rule Bobcats (Rule, TX), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the victory, Knox City upgrades its record to 18-8 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Roby (Roby, TX) to play the Lions in a 1A Region II District 15 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Roby lost 53-44 in their recent league bout against Aspermont (Aspermont, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Aspermont Hornets (Aspermont, TX) in a 1A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Rule will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 22-7 record after their 53-44 league win over Roby (Roby, TX).
