St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI), 58-43 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Bears host Gull Lake (Richland, MI) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Southwestern Michigan - East bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Gull Lake lost 72-46 in their recent league bout against Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI)

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Norrix Knights (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Lakeshore will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 54-53 non-league win over Dakota (Macomb, MI).
