Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Liberty-Eylau Leopards (Texarkana, TX), 66-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Sulphur Springs upgrades its record to 25-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to North Lamar (Paris, TX) to play the Panthers in a 4A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-20. North Lamar won 49-42 in their recent league bout against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX)

Next up, the Leopards play the Paris Wildcats (Paris, TX) in a 4A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Liberty-Eylau will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 62-56 league win over Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX).
