Lower Moreland Lions (Huntingdon Valley, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA), 69-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lower Moreland upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Lions host William Tennent (Warminster, PA) to play the Panthers in a Suburban One - American bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 16-5.

Next up, the Spartans play the Cheltenham Panthers (Wyncote, PA) in a Suburban One - American bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Springfield Township will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 70-58 league win over Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA).
