In Friday's league outing, the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Swansea Tigers (Swansea, SC), by a count of 76-26.
The Diamond Hornets (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Bruins go into the AAA Region 5 outing with a 17-6 record. In their last outing, Orangeburg-Wilkinson smashed Dreher (Columbia, SC), 48-35, in a league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 1-19 record. They play next when they host Brookland-Cayce for a AAA Region 5 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Swansea will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 59-41 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, SC). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-12.
