Minnesota High School Basketball - St. James knocked off by Luverne

The Luverne Cardinals basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting St. James Saints to 77 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgerton for a non-league contest on Monday, February 6. Luverne will battle a Flying Dutchmen team coming off a 67-46 league loss to Hills-Beaver Creek (Hills, MN). The Flying Dutchmen record now stands at 1-13.
The Saints (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN). The Huskies enter the AA Section 3 contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Jackson County Central ran past Windom (Windom, MN), 106-91, in a league contest.
