Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH), 69-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Mapleton upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Mounties travel to Cornerstone Christian (Willoughby, OH) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Cornerstone Christian won 78-56 in their recent league bout against Fuchs Mizrachi (University Heights, OH)

Next up, the Big Red play the Hillsdale Falcons (Jeromesville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Plymouth will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 65-57 league loss to Dalton (Dalton, OH).
